I bought this "S" at HL...taped some giraffe paper on it and used a craft knife to cut around the edges...last, I tied a zebra print ribbon around the "S". I bought the over the door hanger from Wal-Mart - in the Christmas dept.
Sooo stinking cute, you amaze me with your exacto knife, I always steer clear of projects where I might have to manually cut things. Very cute idea! Is this on your front door or just in your house?
Thanks Whitney...I made this for our front door, but it is currently in our living room. It matches the decor in there and I don't have a storm door to protect the paper.
If you want it on the outside of the door, you might try Hard Coat Mod Podge Satin. The label says it is a hard finish for furniture, water resistant, premium formula, and quick build.
