Smash Journal - From/To

I bought this little notebook from Michael's today. It was in the dollar bin. The reason I bought it is because I like the paper inside. I tried to use my new paperpack to spruce it up, but I wasn't feeling it (see below)...

Here is what I finally ended up doing with the notebook.

and of course, my awesome hubby help me bind it. :-)

The paper is by DCWV and is from The Blossom Song stack. The frame on the front was on clearance and is made by Making Memories.

I cut the "E" out in vinyl.

The fabric tabs are part of the Smash Book line.

Thanks for looking ;-)

I would definitely pass this award to Tanya and Audrey but they already sent it to me.

I am passing it on to Stacy and Marsha. Marsha is finishing up school right now, so she is not blogging about scrapbooking, but she continues to support my addiction, I mean hobby. Some of you may know Stacy from the Cricut Messageboard, please stop by her blog and see the new quilt she just made, it is so cute!

Basket

I saw this basket in the Silhouette library and knew I had to try it. I was a little scared this might be the project that "messed up" on me while cutting, but I had no problems!!! I used a solid color cardstock and it cut like butter with my Cameo. I used the predetermined size.

Blade setting = 5
Speed = 4

It has a handle - but I turned the basket the wrong way to photograph it. :-(

This was so easy to put together!

It would make a beautiful gift for Easter or Mother's Day, don't you think?

Safe in AL

Just wanted to check-in. I know some of you know I live in AL and our town was hit with numerous tornadoes last April. Our town was the first to experience tornadoes this morning, it came so quickly and was so scarey. I packed up and went across town bc they said it was supposed to be bad much of the day and I live in tornado alley. Thank goodness today was not as bad as 4.27.11 although there are many people who have lost their home today, including a coworker of my husband. He is in my prayers along with all those suffering tonight.
