Fruits of the Spirit

My children attend a private school and they are having a silent auction fund raiser. As room mom, I am in charge of creating a basket for our silent auction and also an art piece for the parents to bid on.

My daughter's teacher sent me a picture of a canvas that looks like the one I created. Not sure where she got the picture from (sorry).

I taped off the blocks with painter's tape, then my 6 year old and I got to work painting.

On Friday, I went to school and got the kids to put their handprints/fingerprints on the canvas. I spent a couple of nights this week finishing up the project.

I used vinyl for the words.

I had a pear label I bought a few months ago from the Silhouette Library and I used it to create a pear for the back of the canvas. On the pear, I listed the fruits and the name of the child that created the fruit.

I am not an artist...but I think this turned out pretty cute. What do you think???

Yes, sweetie, it did come out pretty darn cute!!!

Hi!!! Sweetie, I've really missed you, and I love that you didn't forget me as I didn't forget you and kept you in my thoughts and prayers (your visits were such a comfort).

Things are still pretty hectic, but I have a little quiet time right now and I'm using it to stop by to say hi to all my wonderful family-friends. Sorry I can't stay long but I promise to be back as soon as I can!

Love you!

Hey, sweetie!!! Dropping in to just say hi!

I was browsing and catching up on some of your cute projects I'd missed and ran across a lace-looking basket you did about a month ago. Well, I fell in LOVE with it!!! It looks like it would have been hard to cut but you said it wasn't; I think I'll have to try something like that because I really did love it!

Anyway, I'll be back!

Hugs, sweetie!
