Birthday Purse (Paisley)

Purse cut at 6". The purse flap was also cut at 6"- and I cut 2 of these. One I inked and dry embossed with my CB - the other I just inked. I scored the embossed paper at the very top - just enough so that I could fold it and tape it down to the purse. After I scored the top flap, I taped the two flaps together, only on the top edge. Then I taped the non-embossed flap down on to the purse.
In this picture I have the flap taped down...I plan to add a brad so the flap is flush with the card.

Emboss as desired!

Anyone do any digital scrapbooking? This is my first attempt - I created this from scratch using PrintMaster.

Forever Young - Lady No 5

It has been a while, but I finally made a card.

Supplies (besides the obvious):

Cricut
Cricut Forever Young Cart
Cuttlebug
Cuttlebug Embossing folder
Embossing Heat Tool
Embossing powder
Ribbon
Peachy Keen Stamp
Stamp Markers
SU! Watercolor Pencils
SU! Blender Pen
Corner rounder
3D adhesive

I cut the lady at 6". I embossed the pink paper with a 2x3 embossing folder - randomly placing the folder on the paper and running it through the machine. (This is where a young helper might be helpful ☺)

Tape the ribbon to the bottom of the pink paper in desired location.

After cutting the dress, I used my clear ink pad to ink my SU! stamp - then stamped the dress, added the embossing powder, shake off the excess and heat.

I used the stamp markers to ink the Peachy Keen face stamp.

I colored her hair with the SU! watercolor and then used the blender pen to smooth out the color.

I used a black marker to make it appear she is wearing shoes.

The yellow behind her back are flowers. Since she has her hands behind her back, I felt she needed to be "hiding" something back there.

ohh...and I inked the edges and the raised portions of the embossed areas.

I think I am going to give this to my Mom for her birthday this year.
